Guido Sgardoli, born in Venice in 1965, is an animal lover and author whose passion for animals led him to become a veterinarian before pursuing writing due to his love for books. His first work was published in 2004, with his book "Grande Libro Degli Sgnuk" selected for the White Ravens 2007 list and winning him the Best Writer Award at the Hans Christian Andersen Awards in 2009. He also won the fourth edition of the Premio Strega Prize Ragazze e Ragazzi in 2019, with his stories not only captivating readers but also carrying profound meanings, emphasizing self-awareness as a key to true growth.
