How to Use the SmartPen

1. Power On the SmartPen

  • Press and hold the On/Off/MP3 Button to turn the SmartPen on.

2. Reading Mode

  • Select a SmartPen-enabled book.
  • Touch the SmartPen icon on the book cover to activate the reading mode.
  • Hold the pen at a 60–90-degree angle to the contents.
  • Adjust the volume using the Volume Button.
  • The SmartPen will automatically turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity.

3. MP3 Mode

  • Press the On/Off/MP3 Button to enter MP3 mode.
  • The first song will be played.
  • Hold the Volume Button to skip to the next song.
  • Press the On/Off/MP3 Button again to stop the music. Tap the SmartPen on the book's contents to return to Reading Mode.

4. Recording Mode

  • Press the Record Button to start recording.
  • Once you hear a beep, speak into the built-in microphone.
  • Press the Record Button again to stop recording. Your recording will be saved.
  • To play the recording, press and hold the Record Button.
How to Download Audio/Book Data (BNL) Files for the SmartPen

  • Search for the title of the book or series you have purchased.

3. Download the File:

  • Click the Download button to download the audio/book data file.

4. Transfer the Files to the SmartPen:

  • Connect the SmartPen to your computer using the provided USB cable.
  • Copy the downloaded audio/book data file to the EBOOK folder in the SmartPen's USB drive.

5. Use the SmartPen:

  • Safely eject the SmartPen from your computer. It’s now ready to use with the new book.
Troubleshooting Tips
  • SmartPen Cannot Be Turned On: Charge the SmartPen using the USB cable.

  • No Response while in Reading Mode: Ensure the audio/book data file has been downloaded and transferred to the SmartPen.

  • Low Battery: Charge the SmartPen when you hear the "low battery" notification.

  • Insufficient Storage: Delete unused files to free up space.

2. Is there a warranty for the SmartPen?

  • Yes, the SmartPen comes with a one-year warranty from the date of purchase. Please register online to activate your warranty. If the SmartPen is defective within the warranty period and has not been tampered with, it will be repaired or replaced free of charge.

3. How long does it take to fully charge the SmartPen?

  • It takes approximately 2 hours to fully charge the SmartPen.

4. How do I charge the SmartPen?

  • To charge the SmartPen, use the provided USB cable. The Indicator Light will be turn on while charging and will turn off when the battery is fully charged.

5. How do I know when my SmartPen's battery is low?

  • When the battery is low, you will hear a notification sound and a voice prompt saying, "Low battery, please charge your pen." The pen will also automatically shut off when the battery is too low.

6. Can I use any book with the SmartPen?

  • No, the SmartPen only works with books that have the SmartPen logo. You must download and store the relevant audio/book data files for the books you've purchased on the SmartPen's USB drive.
