Awake Dreamers, also known as Dreamwalkers, possess innate special abilities to traverse between dreams and reality. Apart from the Awake Dreamers, there are Dream Architects, Dreamcatchers, Nightmares, and Demon Hunters, all of whom have intricate connections to the world of dreams. Dreams offer solace and fulfillment for desires that cannot be realized in reality.
