He wrote the comedy, 'The Taming of the Shrew' in 1593. This comedy is about Katharina who live in Padua, Italy. She has a terrible temper! Her father cannot find a husband for her. Petruchio, from Verona, is interested in her family's money. He courts Katharina, and marries her. He makes her life very difficult, but in the end, he tames her!
